Terms of Service
Last updated: 16 October 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and [Operator legal name] ("we", "us", "our"), the operator of IonTV, a product of the Ionika ecosystem. They govern your use of the IonTV app for Android TV devices (the "TV app"), the IonTV Pulse web cabinet at iontv.ionika.cc (the "cabinet"), this website and the related services (together, the "Service").
Please read these Terms carefully. They limit our liability (sections 19 and 20), allow us to change or forfeit reward points (sections 8, 14 and 15) and set out the law that applies and how disputes are resolved (section 24).
1. Acceptance
1.1. By creating an account, linking a device, giving consent to data sharing on a device, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1.2. If you use the Service on behalf of anyone else, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for them; you remain personally bound as well.
2. Eligibility
2.1. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
2.2. You may hold only one IonTV account. An account is personal: you may not share it, sell it or let anyone else use it.
2.3. You may not use the Service if you are subject to sanctions, if you are located in a country or region where we do not offer it, or where using it is prohibited by the law that applies to you. We may restrict the Service, or particular features of it, by country.
3. The Service
3.1. IonTV lets you share part of the unused internet bandwidth of your Android TV devices (including Android TV, Google TV/Chromecast, Fire TV, NVIDIA Shield and Mi Box devices) with business customers of our network and, in return, collect reward points: ION and Spark.
3.2. You manage your devices, modes, balances, promo codes and referrals in the cabinet. The TV app runs on the device and shares bandwidth only after you have given consent on that device (section 6).
3.3. Ionika account. Your IonTV account uses the same sign-in identity as other Ionika apps, such as IO Aura: the same email address and password work across them. Your IonTV balances, devices and history are separate from those of other Ionika apps and cannot be moved between them. Your use of another Ionika app is governed by that app's own terms.
3.4. Features, supported devices, countries and figures may differ between versions of the TV app and may change over time (section 23).
4. Your account
4.1. You can create an account and sign in with an email address and password (confirmed with a code sent to your email), with a one-time code sent to your email, or with Google Sign-In. You must give a valid email address that you control and keep it up to date.
4.2. You are responsible for keeping your credentials and your email account secure, and for all activity under your account and on the devices linked to it. Tell us at once at ionikasupport@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
4.3. We may refuse to open an account, ask you to confirm your identity or control of your email address, or require you to reset your password, where we reasonably consider it necessary for security or to prevent fraud.
5. Linking TV devices
5.1. To link a device, the TV app shows a QR code or a six-character code, which you confirm in the cabinet while signed in. Codes are short-lived and single-use. Do not share them: whoever confirms a code links the device to their account.
5.2. You may link only real, physical devices that you own or are authorised to use in this way. You may unlink a device at any time in the cabinet.
5.3. Unlinking a device stops sharing and accrual from it immediately. Points already credited to your balance remain in your account, subject to these Terms.
6. Bandwidth sharing and your consent
6.1. Consent on each device. Sharing starts on a device only after you give your explicit consent to data sharing on that device. Each consent, and each withdrawal, is recorded with its time, the device and the version of the consent text you were shown.
6.2. What sharing means. While sharing is on, internet requests of business customers of our network ("Customers") are routed through your internet connection. To the websites and services they reach, those requests appear to come from your connection's public IP address. You understand and accept that:
- websites or providers may associate those requests with your IP address and may, for example, show you more security checks (such as CAPTCHAs), slow down or limit access from your IP address;
- sharing uses your bandwidth and the device's resources, and may count against any data allowance on your internet plan;
- we route traffic only on behalf of business Customers under contract, and we do not sell access to your device to individuals.
6.3. Customers' use. Customers are bound by rules of acceptable use that prohibit unlawful activity, and we may block Customers and destinations that break them. To the extent permitted by law, we do not control, and are not responsible for, the content of Customers' traffic.
6.4. Withdrawing consent. You can withdraw consent at any time in the TV app on the device, or by unlinking the device in the cabinet. Sharing and accrual from that device stop immediately. Withdrawal does not affect sharing that took place before it, or points already credited.
6.5. New consent text. If the consent text changes, the new version is shown on the device and sharing under it begins only after you accept it.
7. Your connection and your responsibility
7.1. You may share only an internet connection that you are entitled to share. If the connection or the network belongs to or is controlled by someone else — for example your landlord, employer, school, a hotel or a public network — or if your contract with your internet provider restricts sharing, you must have the necessary permission before you enable sharing. You alone are responsible for this, and for any consequence of sharing a connection you were not entitled to share.
7.2. Any charges, limits or measures of your internet provider, including for exceeding a data allowance, are your responsibility.
7.3. The TV app must be allowed to run in the background, battery optimisation must not stop it, and the device must be online. The TV app reports the device's status to us; while a device is offline, paused, stopped by the system or another app, or waiting for consent, it does not share and does not accrue points. Periods in which a device did not meet the conditions are not credited afterwards.
7.4. Do not use a VPN, proxy or similar tool on a device used with the Service, and do not route its connection through such a tool.
8. Reward points: ION and Spark
8.1. ION accrues from the bandwidth your devices actually share and that is accepted by our network. Spark accrues for devices in "ION + Spark" mode while they are online and sharing.
8.2. Modes. You choose a mode for each device: ION only, or ION + Spark, in which the device also earns Spark and ION accrues at a lower rate. A change of mode applies going forward only.
8.3. Rates set by us. Accrual rates, conversion rates, tiers, thresholds and limits are set by us and may change at any time with effect for the future. The figures that apply are those applied by the Service at the time of accrual. Figures shown on the website or in the cabinet are for information and may be rounded.
8.4. No guarantee of earnings. We do not guarantee that you will earn any particular amount of ION or Spark, or any amount at all. What a device accrues depends among other things on Customers' demand, your location, your connection and the device's uptime, and may be zero for long periods.
8.5. Nature of points. ION and Spark are reward points of a loyalty programme. They are not money, electronic money, a deposit, a security, a cryptocurrency or a payment instrument; they bear no interest; they have no cash value; and they give you no ownership or property right. They cannot be sold, bought, transferred to another person or account, combined between accounts, or redeemed for cash. The only use of ION is redemption through ION promo codes (section 9); the only use of Spark is as entries or weight in giveaways (section 10).
8.6. Corrections. We may correct any balance or transaction that was credited in error, as a result of a technical fault, or on the basis of inaccurate data, and reverse points obtained in breach of these Terms.
8.7. Expiry. We may introduce an expiry date for points, or expire points on accounts that have been inactive for an extended period, after giving you reasonable advance notice by email or in the cabinet.
8.8. End of the programme. We may change or end the reward programme. If we end it for reasons other than your breach of these Terms, we will give you reasonable advance notice so that you can request promo codes for which your balance qualifies.
9. Promo codes and redemption
9.1. ION codes. When your ION balance reaches a tier — currently 1,000, 2,500 or 5,000 ION, corresponding to code values of US$10, US$25 and US$50 (US$1 = 100 ION) — you may request a promo code for that tier. The tier amount is deducted from your balance when the code is issued.
9.2. ION promo codes are redeemed in IonEx (ionex.ionika.cc), a separate service of the Ionika ecosystem, for gift cards. Redemption is subject to IonEx's own terms, catalogue, prices and availability, which may change. We do not guarantee that any particular gift card, brand, country or value will be available.
9.3. Spark codes. When your Spark balance reaches the threshold — currently 240,000 Spark per code — you may request a Spark code for a giveaway event on Gleam, while codes for that event are available. The cabinet lets you mark a Spark code as used; that mark is your own record.
9.4. Finality. Issuing a code is final: deducted points are not returned, and a lost, expired or unused code is not replaced, except where the law requires otherwise or the fault was ours. A code is single-use and must not be sold, published or transferred.
9.5. Review. We may review any request before issuing a code, delay it while we do, and decline, void or reverse a code where we reasonably suspect fraud, error, abuse or a breach of these Terms, or where the law does not allow us to issue it.
9.6. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to what you receive.
10. Giveaways
10.1. Weekly giveaways are run on Gleam, a third-party platform, with prizes in gift cards. Spark gives entries or weight in a giveaway; nothing of value is staked. Each giveaway is governed by its official rules published on its Gleam page — including who may take part, the countries where it is open, the prizes and how winners are chosen and notified — and by Gleam's terms. Where those rules and these Terms differ on the giveaway, those rules apply.
10.2. A giveaway is void where prohibited or restricted by law. We may change, suspend or cancel a giveaway where permitted by its rules or required by law, or where fraud, a technical fault or circumstances beyond our control affect it. Winners may be required to confirm their eligibility. You are responsible for any taxes on a prize.
11. Referral programme
11.1. Every account has a referral code and link. A new user who registers through your link or with your code within the attribution window is linked to your account as a referred user.
11.2. While the programme runs, you receive a bonus equal to 20% of the Spark and 5% of the ION accrued by the users you referred. Bonuses are paid by us and are not deducted from the referred users' balances. They are calculated periodically and shown in your transaction history.
11.3. You must not refer yourself, create or use fake, duplicate or controlled accounts, offer payments or incentives for registering, use spam, misleading advertising, paid search on our or Ionika's brand names, or otherwise manipulate the programme. We may withhold, cancel or reverse bonuses, and remove referral links between accounts, where we reasonably believe the programme was abused.
11.4. We may change the bonus rates, the attribution rules or end the programme at any time with effect for the future.
12. Notifications and communications
12.1. We send service emails that are part of the Service, such as confirmation codes, security notices and replies to support requests. You can enable web push notifications in your browser, and turn them off at any time in the cabinet or your browser settings.
12.2. You agree that we may give you notices under these Terms by email to the address of your account, in the cabinet or in the TV app.
13. Prohibited conduct
13.1. You must not, and must not attempt or help anyone to:
- obtain ION, Spark, codes, bonuses or prizes through fraud, deception, an error or a fault of the Service, or keep value obtained that way;
- use a VPN, proxy, emulator, virtual machine, rooted or modified device, or any tool that hides, fakes or multiplies your device, location, connection or traffic;
- simulate devices, traffic, status reports or uptime, generate artificial traffic, or manipulate the measurements, reports or rewards of the Service in any way;
- hold more than one account, use another person's account or identity, or create accounts by automated means;
- use bots, scripts or automation with the cabinet or the TV app, except as we expressly allow;
- modify, tamper with, decompile, reverse engineer or redistribute the TV app or interfere with its operation, except as the law expressly allows;
- share an internet connection you are not entitled to share (section 7.1);
- probe, scan, circumvent or defeat any security, rate limit or access control, or access accounts, systems or data that are not yours;
- overload or disrupt the Service, abuse support, or transmit malware;
- sell, buy or trade accounts, points or codes, or offer them outside the Service;
- use the Service in breach of any law, sanctions regime or third-party right.
14. Fraud prevention and enforcement
14.1. We use automated and manual checks to detect fraud and abuse, such as unusual traffic, signs of emulators, VPNs or data-centre connections, and connected accounts. Such checks may pause accrual on a device or hold a code request while we review it.
14.2. If we reasonably believe that you have breached these Terms, we may, depending on the seriousness of the breach and without prior notice: pause sharing or accrual on a device; withhold, cancel or reverse points, bonuses and codes connected with the breach; decline or void code requests; and suspend, restrict or close your account and any accounts connected with it. Points, codes and bonuses obtained through fraud, abuse or a breach of these Terms are forfeited.
14.3. A decision to forfeit points or close an account is reviewed by a person. Where the law requires, we tell you the reasons, and you can contest the decision by writing to ionikasupport@gmail.com.
15. Suspension and termination
15.1. You may stop using the Service at any time by withdrawing consent and unlinking your devices, and you may ask us to delete your account by writing to ionikasupport@gmail.com. Because your sign-in identity is shared with other Ionika apps (section 3.3), we will tell you what deletion covers before we carry it out. Points remaining on a deleted account are forfeited without compensation. Request any codes your balance qualifies for before deleting your account.
15.2. We may suspend or end the Service, or any part of it, at any time. If we end it for reasons other than your breach of these Terms, section 8.8 applies.
15.3. We may close an account that has been inactive for an extended period, after giving reasonable advance notice by email.
15.4. Sections 8.5, 8.6, 9.4, 13 to 15 and 18 to 25 survive the end of this agreement.
16. Licence and intellectual property
16.1. We grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the TV app on your devices and to use the cabinet for their intended purpose, under these Terms.
16.2. The Service, its software, content and design, and the IonTV and Ionika names and logos belong to us, to Ionika or to our licensors. These Terms do not give you any right to them other than the licence in section 16.1.
16.3. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely and without obligation to you.
17. Updates of the TV app
17.1. We may release updates of the TV app, and some updates may be installed automatically by your device's app store. Some features, or the Service as a whole, may require the latest version. We may stop supporting older versions or devices.
18. Third-party services
18.1. The Service relies on third-party services, including Google (Google Sign-In, cloud hosting and notifications), Gleam, the app store and the maker of your device, and on IonEx and the providers of gift cards. They are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for them, for their availability or for their acts.
19. Disclaimers
19.1. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
19.2. We do not warrant any level of earnings, the availability of any code, gift card or prize, that the TV app will work on every device or network, or that your use of the Service will not affect your connection, your device or your relationship with your internet provider.
20. Limitation of liability
20.1. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our affiliates, officers, employees and partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, opportunity, ION or Spark, arising out of or in connection with the Service, even if advised of their possibility.
20.2. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for: charges, limits or measures of your internet provider; restrictions, checks or blocks that websites, providers or other third parties apply to your IP address or connection; consequences of sharing a connection you were not entitled to share; loss of accrual caused by your device, your connection, system restrictions or third-party services; and the acts of Customers, IonEx, Gleam or other third parties, to the extent we did not cause the harm.
20.3. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to one hundred US dollars (USD 100).
20.4. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or, for consumers in the European Union and the United Kingdom, for gross negligence and for breach of their statutory rights.
21. Indemnification
21.1. To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify and hold harmless [Operator legal name] and its affiliates, officers and employees from any claims, losses, damages and costs, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your breach of these Terms, your breach of any law or third-party right, or your sharing of a connection you were not entitled to share.
22. Force majeure
22.1. We are not responsible for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including failures of networks, power, hosting or other providers or third-party services, attacks, epidemics, natural events, war, and acts of authorities.
23. Changes to the Service and to these Terms
23.1. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service, including features, supported devices, countries, rates, tiers and thresholds.
23.2. We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date shows when they last changed. We will tell you about material changes in advance by email or in the cabinet, where reasonably possible. Changes apply for the future; if you continue to use the Service after they take effect, you accept them. If you do not accept them, stop using the Service and request any codes your balance qualifies for.
24. Governing law and disputes
24.1. These Terms are governed by the laws of [country of establishment], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you live.
24.2. Informal resolution first. Before starting any proceedings, write to ionikasupport@gmail.com and describe your claim. We will try to resolve it within 30 days.
24.3. Courts. The competent courts of [country of establishment] have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another country whose law gives you that right, you keep the mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live and may also bring proceedings before the courts of that country.
25. General
25.1. Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. The rules of a giveaway apply in addition, as described in section 10.
25.2. Severability. If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in force, and that provision is applied to the greatest extent allowed.
25.3. No waiver. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it.
25.4. Assignment. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms. We may transfer ours to an affiliate or as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganisation or sale of all or part of the Service.
25.5. Notices. Notices to you are given as described in section 12.2. Notices to us must be sent to ionikasupport@gmail.com.
25.6. No third-party beneficiaries. No one other than you and us has any right under these Terms.
25.7. Language. These Terms may be published in several languages for your convenience. Only the English version is legally binding; if a translation differs from it, the English version prevails.
